Covid-19 & Townsville Show


We’re using the new Check In Qld app to help keep you COVID safe the next time you visit.
All you need to do is:

✔ enter your details once
✔ open the app when you next visit us
✔ select ‘Check in Now’ and hover your smartphone

over our QR code...Done!
Using this digital check-in means your details are stored

securely by the Queensland Government for fast

Activities at the Townsville Show will adhere to the COVID safe key principles so you will see a few changes. Please do your part to stay safe. Do not come to the show if you are ill or showing COVID symptoms, or have been in a COVID hotspot or travelled overseas in the 14 days prior to the show. Please follow physical distancing regulations during your time at the show.

Sideshow alley operates independently within the grounds and charges apply for participating in their activities. The Showmen's Guild of Australasia operate under their own COVID safe plan.

​Stallholders at the Townsville Show will also be operating under their own COVID safe plans.

COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS

The Townsville Agricultural Show will be run in conjunction with any COVID-19 requirements applicable at the time.

 

Patrons must follow these rules: 

  1. Do not come to the Townsville Show if you are feeling unwell or exhibiting symptoms similar to COVID-19.

  2. Register your arrival using the QR code provided or sign the COVID-19 arrival register. 

  3. Adhere to physical distancing requirements i.e. remain 1.5m apart from people not from your same household.

  4. Wear masks if you cannot adhere to the physical distancing requirement.

  5. Sanitize hands frequently.

  6. Sit down to eat and drink. 

  7. Adhere to maximum capacity signs when entering buildings.

  8. Leave the showgrounds if you feel unwell throughout the day or start to exhibit symptoms similar to COVID-19.

  9. Get tested before you come to the show for peace of mind.

Pre-sale tickets are available at the Showgrounds Office located on the corner of Ingham Service Road & Parkes Street.

Online is not available for purchasing Show tickets.

EFTPOS facilities are available at the Townsville Showgrounds - however a surcharge of 2% applies with every purchase.

Adult (18yrs and over) - $12
Concession Cardholder - $12
Student (13yrs-17yrs)/Aged Pensioner - $7.50
Child (3yrs-12yrs) - $7.50
Under 3yrs - FREE
Ride Tickets - 1 sheet valued $25 (valued at $30)

The Townsville Pastoral Agricultural & Industrial Association is not affiliated with the carers/companion card. 
All carers/companions will be required to pay the full amount of a single adult admission ticket.  Under no circumstances is this negotiable.

 

Smoking
The Townsville Showgrounds is a family friendly
environment, therefore we are a smoke-free Showgrounds.

Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere on the grounds.

Please be aware that immediate fines will be issued for non-compliance.

Have you ever considered becoming a volunteer?  Enjoy the experience of a lifetime at the annual Townsville Show by volunteering to work and help out around the grounds!  


The Townsville Show Society is a non for profit organization which is supported throughout the year by hundreds of
hours of voluntary work. The Townsville Show is a huge
annual event, and without the tireless help from the community would not be a success that it continues to be. 


Be rewarded by being part of a team who puts together one
